International Biennial of Engraving-BIPB 2016 is an international competition that brings together visual artists international passionate about traditional techniques of engraving and the unexpected possibilities and visual solutions that they offer. This event is open artists the opportunity to reinvent the image etched who managed to pass the test of time. the theme of this
BIPB aims to give artists the opportunity to reinvent the image engraved to discover if it managed to pass the test of time and to impose itself as a form of art today.
BIPB proposes to launch a visual dialogue between idea and working technique engraving bringing back the tradition in actuality as a way of expressing contemporary.
Since the first 2014 edition of the International Biennial of Engraving Bucharest had 65 exhibitors; Second Edition will include besides exhibitions and a series of conference sessions and meetings with artists.

November 6 to 30, Brancovan Palaces Cultural Center: exhibition of artists awarded in 2014 and artists who applied to the design contest
November 7, workshops supported by Manfred Egger - prize BIPB 2014
December 4, National University of Arts: conference on "engraving technique Contemporary"
December 19 2016-15 January 2017: UNA Gallery, National University of Arts, Exhibition of young engravers who applied to contest
